My name is Michael Walters.  Originally I am from Alamogordo, NM but have since moved around the world.  I am employed by the United States Navy and have been so since 1991.  It is an honor and pleasure to serve my country as a Nuclear Limited Duty Officer.  I have been turning wood since I was 14, but  I really did not get into pen turning until I was stationed at Performance Monitoring Team in San Diego in 2006.  Since then, I have spent numerous hours turning pens, wine bottle stoppers, making shadow boxes, and now starting to use a CNC machine.  I am married to the former Doreen Bailey of Warsaw, Indiana.  I have five kids, Melissa, Jacky, Beau, Celissa and Kaleb.  I also have three grandkids.
